Job Description

the director of it operations is a senior leader of the company's it function. this position directs the planning implementation operation and support of it systems in support of business operations. this technology leader is engaged in the planning and responsible for providing leadership for implementing information technology initiatives to standardize it operations. the role requires a strong management background service-oriented mentality and hands-on working skills. responsibilities: lead it operational planning to achieve business goals and management of current and future it systems across the organization. establish infrastructure and architecture standards including operational management of infrastructure performance availability capacity compliance and service quality. develop track and control the metrics related to it operations of the organization manage and establish priorities for maintenance design development and analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of lan wan server virtualization security and wireless implementations. develop and maintain an appropriate department organizational structure goals objectives and procedures; assess and communicate risks associated with the it infrastructure department. direct mentor & retain members under the area of supervision establish & maintain a professional culture high-performance work environment; leads performance management process for area of supervision. direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. ensure all support contracts throughout the enterprise are up to date and maintained. coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. approve prioritize and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection acquisition development and installation of all information systems. provide technical advice guidance and direction to the team and ensure the implemented solution adheres to the defined standards processes and technical architecture. develop and maintain an up to date knowledge base of standards and operational processes. work to implement itil it service management standard processes throughout the organization collaborate with senior leadership to develop and communicate corporate plans policies and standards for the organization for acquiring implementing and operating it systems. ensure continuous delivery of it services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring systems performance. responsibility for the 24/7 delivery of all end-user services to business locations. qualifications/experience: bachelor's or master s degree in computer science information systems business administration or related field. minimum 13 years of increasing it and business management responsibility to include software development industry related experiences minimum 7 years managing it operations and support organization strong hands-on experience focused on virtualization server administration network and security. itil v3 certifications leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams in an international settin
