Senior Manager - Vendor Development at Hyderabad for IT Company
A vendor manager is a key Management position & corporate function, with the responsibility to Develop, Manage & Enhance suppliers of hardware, software, and all services across Departments. Although not necessarily limited to these items, responsibilities include evaluating a potential provider's reputation, resources and expertise as well as helping with negotiations and contracts.
Some Key Responsibilities
Manage external vendor relations across departments.
Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees.
Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring is being accomplished.
Implement vendor processes and methods to add / empanel vendors.
Negotiate Optimum Pricing, credit and other commercial terms for supporting the companys business growth
Manage Vendors Day-to-day & Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.
Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.
Support to explore expansion across new business lines.
Strong Negotiation skills
Contracting and Contract Management Expertise
Knowledge of IT Industry and Vendor eco system
Ability to handle pressure is a key attribute.
Experience in Private & Govt. Procurement process
Masters Degree in Business Administration or equivalent with 8-10 years relevant experience as Vendor Development/ Commercial Manager in a reputed firm.
Compensation will be commensurate to experience and in line with industry standards.
