About Corporate Development & Performance Group

Corporate Development and Performance Group is a central global function that facilitates the design, execution and monitoring of our corporate strategy. The KRAs for the group are as follows:

Though Leadership & Innovation

Deliver thematic, macro trend & scenario research/analysis

Develop external thought leader & insight network

Build relations with existing FIL innovation ecosystem

Intelligence & Strategy

Monitor & report on competitive landscape & competitor action

Lead periodic strategy refresh process

Facilitate alignment of strategy between business, technology and finance

Corporate Development

Develop and execute strategic projects under sponsorship of President or GOCs

Track and report on market size, share & M&A activities

Corporate Performance Management

Goal Setting: Define & facilitate annual GOC goal setting & alignment process

KPI Reporting: Define, monitor and report on corporate performance to GOC across scorecard; support QGR

Strategy Tracking: Facilitate tracking & reporting of progress of strategic initiatives

Performance Automation: Define, develop and deploy dashboard automation tools

The function has a global remit and forms part of the CFO group. In India, it is co-located with the Global Finance Shared Services team.

Purpose of your role and your key accountabilities

Specifically responsibilities will include:

Corporate Performance Management (60-70%)

Supporting development and production of GOC KPI dashboard

GOC Goals setting facilitation, tracking and review

Facilitate tracking & reporting of progress of strategic initiatives

Bespoke analysis (30-40%)

Performing and reviewing competitor trends and market share analysis

Supporting Global projects and analysis

Project Management (10-20%)

Independently handling and delivering global projects

Stakeholder management including support functions like Finance, Customer Services and Technology

Requirements

Qualifications and experience

Masters in Business Administration or Chartered Accountant

Preferable graduation in Engineering, Commerce or Economics

8 to 10 years

Role Competencies

At least 8-10 years overall experience preferably in Financial Service or Management Consulting industry.
At least 3-4 years experience in business research across multiple markets preferably in Europe and Asia and preferably in the financial services space
In-depth understanding of excel including ability to develop complex models and data structures
Experience in consulting assignments and preparing presentations for Senior Stakeholders
Ability to engage in discussion with senior stakeholders on market trends, scenarios and business plans
Hands on experience with secondary market research and ability to source primary research
Excellent problem solving skills, with a logical thought process - to sort, analyse and creatively interpret large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data.
Ability to query large data sources including relational databases
Excellent stake-holder management skills needed
