Senior Manager Cleaning Systems Technologies
a) Brings solid domain expertise in new product development (NPD) adding value in the above domain area right from product conception to launch.
b) Uses his/her deep knowledge in the established domain to deliver tangible value in terms of innovation, cost reduction and value engineering in assigned projects.
c) Works with and through external suppliers and technology partners and adds value to Companys NPD process where domain expertise is called
d) Adapts his/her work practices, technical acumen and delivery approach to meet the varying demands of each Business Vertical of the Company
e) Works as a seamless team player interacting with New Product Champions, Marketing, Manufacturing, QA and other internal functions of the company.
f) Earns recognition and respect among peers and partners within the Company and relevant industry as a leading expert in the domain through tangible value addition.
g) Continually enhances his/her expertise by keeping abreast of latest developments in the domain area, thus becoming the undisputed expert within Company.
h) Conveys findings through periodic reports, presentations and strategic updates as required to senior management.
i) Travel as required.
Reportees: None initially, will get work done with external suppliers/partners/validation agencies in his/her domain expertise. In the future, may supervise relevant technical staff depending on number and scope of innovation projects managed.
Experience in consumer durable industry, preferably related to cleaning devices (vacuum cleaners, sweepers and other electro-mechanical cleaning appliances).
Demonstrated track record in delivering high quality new products through innovations using a wide range of technologies in the refrigeration and heating sectors. Experience in full lifecycle experience of NPD, including taking a product into successful manufacturing. [Number of innovative products delivered more important than Number of Years of Experience]
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience in all components applied to the domain, including allied regulatory and environmental compliance areas, especially with new process technologies and innovations in the area of expertise.
Has expertise in and passion for optimal design and effective product launch both cost-effectively and with first-time-right mentality.
Skilled in various component and software tools as well as an ability to rapidly learn new tools relating to his/her domain area.
Experience collaborating with and earning respect among a wide range of peers, including other domain experts, and experienced personnel in laboratory, manufacturing/QA, Marketing and field technical staff.
Successful experience in leading through example, and working with external domain partners and others outside the area of immediate influence to deliver innovative products and technologies.
Must be highly self-driven and focused on delivering value in terms of tangible new products that have differentiated market advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
Accomplished experience relevant to the position in reputed Indian or Multi-national organizations.
B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering discipline from a well-recognized academic institution (or) a high quality diploma backed with relevant accomplished experience.
