The sales engineer is responsible for the Sales Budget of a territory assigned to him/her and
further expands our position in the market.
He/she is responsible for the active evaluation of prospects and customers in the territory. Together with his/her team he/she supports the existing customers and goes after new acquisitions of projects in the markets targeted by company such as pharma, chemical industry, food and feed industry, environmental analysis as well as academia.
He/she is responsible for the entire range of products and solutions offered across all market segments by company and are aimed at generating maximum growth in the markets keeping a tight control on the expenses and EBIT across product SET?s as defined in the budget.
The Sales engineer works closely with the other involved personnel such as RSM, PM,
Service and Sales Administration. The manifold interfaces require a high degree of skills in
communication and organization.
Main Tasks :
Solution oriented approach to selling / marketing
Achieve monthly targets across SET?s in line with the Tracking Sheet
Lead generation across all SET?s to enhance the sales funnel
Close follow up on regular intervals of all projects
Ensure the satisfaction of the customers
Creation of travel reports
Negotiation and order finalization within the limits of discounting structure in force
Ensure achievement of sales budgets
Other Tasks :
Coordinating with the PM / RSM on applications / solutions for specific requirements
Preparation of SOM / Tracking Sheet
Ensure timely payment by customers based on terms of order
Arranging demo?s / presentations for the PM
Constant review and enhancement of technical knowledge by undergoing internal trainings
and discussions with the PM, RSM
Continuously update the database by sending information to the Marketing Coordinator on all
Working as a team with the service person
Ensure customer satisfaction and follow the policy of ?Close to Customer?
Ensure achievement of the monthly / quarterly / yearly budgets across SET?s
Prioritize and independently prepare travel plans with the RSM
Must have (Education, Experience, and Personality):
Engineering / chemistry education with 2 ? 3 years experience in a similar capacity
Knowledge of market segments, knowledge of commerce structures in the country
Analytical skills in order to develop sales
Performance record in sales
Confident, competent demeanour
Negotiation skills, assertiveness
Decision making ability, dynamic and willing to integrate in the culture of the company
Good Communication Skills and working knowledge English
Aggressive approach to marketing and sales
Creative, solution oriented and pragmatic
Outwardly and inwardly communicative
Willing to travel extensively within his/her territory
