The role of the Retail Data Scientist will be to act as a subject matter expert on a wide variety of analytics methods that are specific for challenges faced for major retail players in the market.
Your role will encompass bridging the gap between holistic analytics consulting through to technical delivery of analytics methods and tools for specific client needs. As an analytics partner, we are keen to see individuals who have gained a solid foundation in the use of this particular several analytics tools and a strong interest in how the Retail sector is evolving their needs for Advanced Analytics & Insight beyond traditional Insight groups.

Who we are looking for:
An excellent commercial grounding in the application of various analytics and insight skills (retail, FMCG, CPG sectors preferred).
An excellent foundation in data analytics in retail, specifically customer experience, merchandising and marketing
Youre passionate about asking and answering questions in large datasets, and you are able to communicate that passion to business stakeholders
Hands on experience in Adobe Marketing Cloud, e.g. Target, AEM, DTM, Audience Manager
Exposure of digital marketing, campaign analytics and social media analytics and hands on experience in Google Analytics
You have a keen desire to solve business problems, and live to find patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data
You have good understanding of all phases of the analytic process including data collection, preparation, modelling, evaluation, and insight generation.
You propose analytics strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of everyone around you
You have solid data-mining and analytical skills, including experience dealing with a large amount of data and good understanding of latest data-mining algorithms
You have excellent programming skills in one or more of the following: Python, R, and/or SQL
You have experience in setting up analytical frameworks and prediction models and building up algorithms to automate operational tasks
You are a Data enthusiast with a practice of approaching problems in a mathematical manner. We would prefer candidates who can code their algorithms and can simulate their validity.
You have a strong hold on statistics and machine learning techniques
