Job Description

Regional Sales Manager

As a Channel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for meeting sales quota through identifying and gaining business from new and existing clients and ensuring customers satisfaction through the Acronis products and services. The Channel Sales Manager is required to be participative in development of value propositions and to negotiate successfully to close a sale. You will manage the sales pipeline from inception to close, manage strategic accounts and travel on a national scale as required. Working with Sales Channel partners and distributors in both pre and post sales activities, you are tasked to develop key sales opportunities and to build a community of satisfied customers.

Responsibilities

Responsible for achieving growth in sales targets set by the company for India region
Define and implement country sales strategies and targets that are in line with the approved sales strategies of the company for region accounts
Identifying and evaluating business opportunities Channel and system integrators
Develops business plans that ensure growth and quota objectives are achieved
Developing new business relationships, generate and negotiate new revenues
Develop Sales Plan to ensure achievement of Company sales targets and profitability
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the companys unique selling propositions and differentiators
Strategize, prioritize and monitor business plans to meet sales goals and objective
Set customer segment sales goals and objectives for all portfolio solutions, taking into consideration the effectiveness of programs and strategies implemented
Maintain professional sales activity on developmental business and identify potential client within the client organization
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network
Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the clients needs, concerns, and objectives
Participate in pricing the solution/service
Prepare and present proposals and close new accounts in targeted verticals
Presenting to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
Analyse customer requirements, develop & demonstrate solutions, produce quality presentations
Identify business opportunities by establishing contact and developing relationships with global customers and clients
Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities
Increase market share and expand distribution channels and customer base
Grow new Acronis products tasked by management
Achieve revenue, margin and collection objectives set for the product line in annual operating plan
Desired Skills & Experience

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Management (or equivalent experience) in a related discipline. Master in IT qualification preferable

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in channel sales and business development
Demonstrated track record in business development and desire to perform in this competitive industry
Proven record of success achieving sales targets
Has strong functional, analytical and strategic thinking with project management skills
Travel to prospective locations if required

Experience in handling Govt accounts.
Familiarity with central /state level registration procedures.
Network of partners who sell to Govt agencies


Technical Knowledge should include many of the following:
Good understanding of IT storage software and computing architectures, including experience in storage and Data backup, Antivirus, Microsoft,storage infrastructure, networks, operating systems and applications
Deep understanding of the IT industry and the Internet
Strong knowledge of cloud technology & eco-system
Experience in virtualization/ cloud computing/ managed services
Good knowledge of the Storage and Backup industry with the ability to evaluate the competitive strengths and weaknesses of products
Backup and/or Storage solution design experience
Knowledge of Virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V
