Job Description

Chote Kadam is a Community Development programme focussed on delivering projects that serve the unserved and the underserved communities across India. These projects seek to address critical community needs in the areas of Public Infrastructure, Education, Environment and Health & Hygiene.
We are currently working on executing more than 80 projects across 17 states in India ranging from Bus Stops, Bus Stand Renovations, Drinking Water Supply, Public Toilets, School Renovation, Building and Renovating Parks, Childrens Play area and Community Gathering spaces, Hospital and Health centres renovation and Building Public Toilets. Chote Kadam programme is an initiative of Ujjivan Financial Services Limited and Parinaam Foundation. We are partnering with Ujjivan Small Finance Bank whose employees on a volunteer basis are supporting the planning and execution of Chote Kadam projects
The Programme Coordinators for the Parinaams Chote Kadam programme are responsible for the planning and execution of the Chote Kadam projects in their regions in line with the present goals of the programme.
The Programme Coordinator is the liaison between the Ujjvan Staff and the Parinaam Programme Director


Business
Networking with branches for Selection and Implementation of Chote Kadam projects
Budget management
Handling Public Relations and Branding for projects
Coordination with Chote Kadam programme partners (Design partners, Implementation partners)
Assist the Programme Director on Chote Kadam training for Branch staff

Customer
Manage all programme internal and external stakeholders in the region
Periodic reports for management reviews
Guiding and troubleshooting the branches on operational issues
Internal process
Manage MIS Reports and trackers of the programme
Create annual plans and monitor expenditures against budgets
Facilitate the audit and monitor the effectiveness of the programmes
Ensuring Committee approvals

Learning & Performance

Train & guide the branch teams as and when required
Enroll for necessary trainings required for the role

There were many microfinance institutions active in rural India, but very few served... India’s urban population. To bridge this gap, Ujjivan focused on the urban poor. This is a fast growing segment that is relatively new to India’s microfinance industry. Our surveys and interaction with the urban poor show that they are exposed to enormous contingencies and are required to share their meagre resources with neighbors, friends, relatives and colleagues. Hence, there is a tremendous amount of bonding and affinity among them. We have also found that, contrary to popular belief, the urban poor are a stable population.
