Job Description

Discovery and Insights

Customers Research, personas to understand potential target segments, assess consumer needs, evaluate competitors and their offerings, SWOT analysis and frame Product strategy for Savings and Deposits

New Product Planning and Introduction :

Prioritize opportunities gathered by discovery and insights, shape value proposition, competition benchmarking, Develop a business case, co-ordinating with stakeholders for product and process integration, working with the brand and marketing team to device the GTM and Launch, activate and monitor marketing plans and overseeing the process/system/training of staff and service proposition

Product Portfolio Review and Management

Conduct post launch audit, evaluate KPIs and metrics, re-evaluate competitor assessment, refine pricing, improve/adjust marketing and promotional plans, assess channel performance and refine/discontinue products/services

Pricing Development and Deployment

Monitor Markets and competitors, evaluate internal product health

Risk Management :

Make sure all collaterals/ any document containing product information are in line with the Risk and Compliance norms as defined by RBI and internal guidelines

PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGEMENT-

Marketing of Product

Recommending/ working with the brand and marketing team for packaging and marketing products both to internal and external customers at the onset of product launch and ongoing basis

Product Campaigns for specific TG

Co-ordinating and initiating specific product campaigns with the Regional teams to increase product uptake
PRODUCT TRAINING-

Ensuring Product and Product bundles are well understood by Internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with the HR team in identifying product training needs, refreshers, collaterals needed for product benefit recall and drafting the training content for different set of audience including execution of training

There were many microfinance institutions active in rural India, but very few served... India’s urban population. To bridge this gap, Ujjivan focused on the urban poor. This is a fast growing segment that is relatively new to India’s microfinance industry. Our surveys and interaction with the urban poor show that they are exposed to enormous contingencies and are required to share their meagre resources with neighbors, friends, relatives and colleagues. Hence, there is a tremendous amount of bonding and affinity among them. We have also found that, contrary to popular belief, the urban poor are a stable population.
