JOB CONTEXT:
ARGA Foundation is implementing 2 project; 1. ‘Elderly Rehab; Active Again’ (The project intends to provide centre based and community based rehabilitation services (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counseling and Family/community support) to elderly people of Chandkheda ward of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, 2. ‘Ed-enable’ (the education project being implemented in a primary school of D’cabin which provides transport assistance and computer education).
Duties/Assignments:
The Office Assistant will:
♣ Assist the therapist in assessment, therapy delivery and follow up of clients at centre and in community.
♣ Manage registration, database and client records as per the established procedure.
♣ Assist in the financial operations of the project and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.
♣ Assist in preparing and maintaining agreements and staff contracts.
♣ Assist in preparing promotional materials, reports, letters and other coordination activities.
♣ Provide orientation to the staff on financial procedures and cost-effective practices.
♣ Fill the other position in case of vacancy as per her/his skills e.g. teaching computer at school.
♣ Tasks as delegated by line manager.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor of Commerce, BCA, BBA or a related field from an accredited academic institution or distance education.
Computer literacy: Good at MS office, internet and Gujarati typing

Desirable competencies:
• Experience of 1 year in NGO or private set-up is preferred.
• Proven track record of dedicated professional practice.
• Behavioral
o Great customer service skills 
o Communication – listens and communicates clearly and effectively
o Multitasking capabilities – ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
o Teamwork – contributes to a collegial team environment
Languages
Fluency in Gujarati (written and verbal). English is a plus
