Job Description

Lead & provide functional direction to all functions of SCM operations for effective management of Customer Order Management, Sourcing, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse & Distribution Management, Statutory Compliances, Plant Stores Mgt and Import Export Management.
Develop a strategy that addresses customer requirements, procurement, distribution, transportation strategies, outsourcing strategies and supply chain operations performance.
To ensure that the Logistics Strategy is linked with the business strategy to a distribution approach and should support the overall goals of the organization (e.g., customer service, low costs, minimum inventory, low overheads, leverage of the supply chain, channels/markets, etc.)
To define the service and logistical requirements of the major customer groups. Identify customer needs such as expected order fulfillment cycle time, handling requirements, delivery requirements and special service needs.
To build a profile of all logistic cost, supply and demand data, for each group (e.g. each supplier, facility, customer, pool point, etc.). These profiles should include fixed and variable operating costs, storage costs, service costs and inbound and outbound transportation costs.
To define the locations and roles of the logistics network components - manufacturing facilities, warehouse, distribution centres, cross-docks, etc.
To define and forecast the cost, volume and service measures to continually evaluate the performance of the logistics strategy, as well as the mechanism to collect/build the information to report the measurements and to respond to them.
Using decisions defined while developing procurement, production, and sales strategies, select the warehousing and shipment locations desired to optimize efficiency and to minimize storage, handling, and transportation costs.
Select a material receiving and transportation policy addressing the critical issues like Owned vs. leased facilities, third-party vs. internally managed; Packaging requirements, Quality standards and inspection procedures.
Define a strategy for handling the product and a method for monitoring performance of that strategy.
Determine the storage and handling strategy based on estimated production volume, stocking levels and storage requirements.
Plan material flow throughout the organization. Areas for material to flow include: incoming material arrival, quality inspection, stores or warehouse stock.
Explore new avenues to optimize the services & make the operation cost effective & keep control on stock
Ensuring support of most reliable delivery system and compliance with statuary requirements.
Preparation of logistics budget, conducting the variance analysis to identify deviation between actual and estimated expenses.
Ensure proper inventory control and MIS
Manage Vendor
To Manage and monitor all the vendors Shipping companies, carriers, CFAs, transporters, clearing agents and other government departments for ensuring zero bottlenecks in the supply chain.
Responsible for negotiating with transporters and shippers for getting minimum and competitive freight.
Establish carrier monitoring, track performance. Take appropriate action to handle issues.

People Management
To train & develop the logistics team for smooth functioning of the logistic department and update the team with best in class operations.
Develop & Lead India Supply chain team for TCO Operations. Identifying capability gaps and Planning, Implementing to build necessary capabilities to meet Profit plan & Strategic Plan Goals.
Critically analyze and work closely with business analysts and functional heads for improving design and implementation of logistics/ supply chain operations for imports,

Experience:
Minimum 8 to 10 years in a reputed company, preferably Pharma or FMCG Company OR
3 to 4 yrs experience can be consider as Executive

Qualification :
Graduate,
Diploma in Supply Chain Management
