Develop and execute on a vision for delivering the best Cloud Computing solution
The right leader will execute on a roadmap to programmatically expand the adoption of the tools delivered, including delivery of new features, additional software standards and expand on an ecosystem of open source tool sets for internal adoption.
Grow and lead the organization through change, evolution, and sustained growth through these operational efficiency-oriented tools and practices
You will need to manifest excellent judgment on how to prioritize between operational excellence, feature development and demand-generating activities.
Who you are: Youll fit this role if you have:
12+ years of experience delivering business intelligence, data integration and data warehouse solutions.
5 + years of people management experience.
5+ years of experience in a large-scale BI and data engineering environment
2+ years of experience in Agile development methodology.
5+ years experience in data integration or business Intelligence, large scale analytical databases, big data tools and technologies
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Has strong presentation and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills
Has knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, EC2, RDS, Kinesis, S3
Travel or e-commerce experience is highly appealing.
What youll do:
Lead a team consisting of Data engineers, BI developers and analysts
Recruit, hire and ramp skilled software/BI developers/data engineers
Maximize your team's performance and champion a culture of productivity, responsiveness and quality.
You will build Business Intelligence and reporting solutions for Business partners using the latest BI technologies and cloud solutions
Apply industry standard methodologies and new technology to enhance productivity, quality, and system performance.
Lead the team through design, development, and deployment of new functionality.
Work closely with other development and diverse teams to create the platform vision and evolve the product roadmap.
Evangelize and drive adoption of platform technologies by other development teams.
Improve our platform by grasping existing technology, building new technology, or evaluate and integrate 3rd party solutions.
Set appropriate project backlogs and manage ongoing changes.
Stay on top of and the latest technologies and trends, looking for ways to innovate on the technology platform.
Provide management and oversight of staff including performance evaluations, coaching, recruiting, and disciplinary actions.
Works closely with Product team to deliver right solutions in the committed timeline.
Demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal).\
Demonstrate a positive, visionary attitude.
