Customer Support Engineer

Job Description

- Responsible for providing technical support regarding the company's proprietary systems and software.
- Assist customers in troubleshooting hardware/software related issues on different WAN Access technologies
- Provides first/second level technical support for Layer 1 technologies (e.g., T1,E1,DS3,DSL,POS,SONET,3G/4G Access etc.), Layer 2 technologies (e.g., PPP,PPPoE,IRB,HDLC,ATM,Frame Relay,VPDN etc.), Quality of Service etc.
-Applies analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems of moderate to high complexity. -Provides technology/product training and intellectual property material as required.
-Effectively utilizes moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems.
-Submits complete and correct Defect reports in area of expertise.
-Document knowledge base content from learnings and case work.
-Interacts across TAC teams and development teams at peer level.
-Receives minimal supervision and receives no instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments.
-Typically reports to Manager, Technical Support.
-Typically interfaces internally with CSEs, SEs, NCEs, and internal engineering departments.

Cisco Certification CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (Routers and Switches)
-B.Tech (or) BS in Computer Science
-2-5 years related experience.
