Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Implement AU Banks approved strategy to facilitate achievement of related short and long-term goals in the most effective and efficient manner for building the Mid-corporate lending business.
Credit appraisal of prospective Large/medium Corporate accounts for identifying investment opportunities, taking fund based exposure like Working Capital, Overdraft/Cash credit/Term Loan etc. and non-fund based exposure like Letter of credit / Bank Guarantee etc.
Lead origination, customer meeting, relationship building and understanding customer business and their requirements will be key part of the job.
Preparation of detailed proposal notes as per bank policy and ensuring clearance from credit sanctioning committees.
To carry out industry analysis as well as peer analysis. Guide Relationship Management teams in research and analysis on industries/ clients/ markets
Implement/ Monitor / review the Mid-corporate portfolio by segment on overall basis and by product, customer & Business profile, and other parameters on periodic basis to evaluate the quality and performance of the portfolio. This needs to be reflected in the internal rating reports of various companies in Portfolio.
To present appraisal reports to respective forum & get timely decision for the same.
Conceptualise, manage, control, monitor and assume responsibility for the Mid-corporate lending risk profile and portfolio quality in line with the expectations.
To look after existing portfolio for annual review & interim requirement of companies.
Ensure timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function, as and when required
Monitoring economic and industry developments as well as financial parameters of clients to detect potential risk triggers or signs of stress and taking appropriate steps to mitigate risks.
Performing detailed credit and background reference checks on all prospective Clients.
Collating and evaluating industry comparable, market intelligence, key demand factors in macro /micro market analysis
Preparing and review of financial model, Investment Committee presentations & notes, deviation notes etc. (Must be good in Excel, Power point and Word)
Coordinating and liaise for complying pre-disbursement and post documentation conditions
Lead the development of early warning systems that highlight possible risk deterioration in the Business credit portfolio, in order to allow for timely corrective action. Also, monitor critical portfolio caps at required intervals and take prompt action in coordination with relationship team when required to uphold the quality of the portfolio.

Eligibility:

Relevant Candidate should be a CA with experience in mid-corporate credit and analysis preferably working with an asset management company or a Private / MNC Bank.
Total 10 years of relevant credit experience in tracking various sectors with a direct relationship with mid size corporates across sectors preferably in Mumbai region.
In depth knowledge of Capital Markets products and compliances is a must.
Strong market and corporate network is a must.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (particularly Credit Reports and Business Presentations)
Superior people relationship skills (Good internal and external stakeholder relationship track record) and awareness of risk management concept and practices.
Well-informed of the Business and the market competitive structure in Indian Market
