Job Description

STRATEGIC PLANNING
Understands Strategic planning as a holistic process covering Operations , Supply Chain / Customer Service , Marketing & Sales , Equipment planning , Layout / Space Planning , Financial Management Human Resource Development & product Engineering
Leads the Annual Goal Setting exercise and creates challenging yet achievable Goals across functions through Hoshin Kanri ( X Matrix ) and aligns them to the Annual and Long Term Goals
Understand the Porters Market Forces and build strategies to meet Business Expectations
Lead and Develop Product Line Strategy for the SP products in India .
Develops and drive the Strategic plan endorsed by the SP Management for n+4 years
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Co lead Builds and is the Custodian of the Strat Plan for n+ 4 years with inputs from key functions
Understand the level 2 P&L elements
Understands the Balance Sheet elements
Leads the weekly Global Flash call , ability to defend numbers
Understands project financials for the Capex approvals , like Payback , NPV , IRR , ROI
Leads the monthly operations Review with Global and India Teams
OPERATIONS PLANNING -
Leads the monthly S&OP calls
Plans for the capacities , supplies , Human resource requirement as per S&OP horizon of 4 months
Well versant with SAP planning engine .
Understands the Demand and capacity of the product lines
Well versant with the OAE , OEE and TEEP fundamentals
Lead weekly internal meetings on Supply and Demand
Act as a conduit with the Global plants on the supplies
Plans for Capex with the intent of having capacity ahead of time
Meet Customer Service expectations of fill rate > 98 %
Lead monthly Operations review , MRM on site with the SP TEAM
Builds Quality Assurance Culture to protect Customers on Quality Spills
Meet monthly Production numbers and the Sales Targets
Monitors Operations performance through Hoshin Kanri Visual display boards
PRODUCT AND APPLICATION ENGINEERING
Develops Product Line Strategy in conjunction with Sales , operations and Product Engineering
Reviews Launch Management on a Horizon of Six months
Positions products with the Customers and leverage SP portfolio
Lead with Operations on the localization of the products as per PLS
Guides PE for the Customers ( OE , Tier 1 ) Tech Days for product penetration with Customer Engineering and Purchase
MARKETING & SALES -
Develop competitive Strategies to counter competition
Builds fences for the competition and protects Key Customer Accounts
Lead with Sales & ENgg on the Customer visits for product proliferation
Well versed with the levers of the Standard Margins calculations , understands Imports duties for the pass through Sales
Understand the Customer requirements and the SP product offerings to meet the expectations
AR Management in line with the Budget
Monitors SAP data base on the RFQ Management
Co -lead fortnightly RFQ calls on the pendency and Business decisions
Understands Key Markets of Wiring Harness and the Hose Manufacturing
Above all act as a Master Conductor across functions and is responsible for the inter / intra - department balance to meet the Customer Expectations .
