Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for sales, business development and solutioning efforts for EXIM solutions business.
Develop existing customers and identify new customers nationally / regionally to target for EXIM solutions
Work with business head and operations team in designing solution and costing for customer proposals.
Conclusion of customer negotiations and contract finalizations
To stay updated with the current market state and details about the competition.

Key Interfaces:
Liaise with customers to diagnose their current EXIM supply chain and discuss potential solutioning opportunities across the supply chain (e.g. customs clearance, container storage, warehousing, transportation, etc.)
Design solutions and pricing proposal for customer solutions.
Partner with business head, vendor operations and customer service to ensure feasibility and profitability of design solutions.

First 100 days of new business:
Develop long lists of existing and new customers to be targeted for EXIM solutions
Initiate pilot / proof-of-concept projects with customers to establish new business credibility
Lead marketing efforts for EXIM solutions business and conduct customer/market meets to establish brand presence of the organization as a integrated solutions player in the market.

Requirements

Background and Qualification:
10+ years experience sales and business development across EXIM supply chain, preferably in Chennai / South India market.
Strong existing relationships with major importers and exports in South India / Chennai and surrounding regions
Has excellent communication and presentation (oral and written) skills.
Must have experience in end-to-end sales cycles: cold calling, lead generation, customer solutioning and testing, pricing negotiations and contract closing
Qualification: Preferred MBA from reputed institutions, or graduate degree with strong business development credentials
