Job Description

Lease Management
Check the legal liability of all Leases including renewals and co-ordinate with clients for timely Registration of Leases and renewals

Statutory Compliances
Identify & list the statutory compliances and ensure that they are met. Conduct quarterly audit for all departments to ensure legal compliances, Early closure of all pending litigations/Arbitrations/other government related concessions and ensure conformity to the statutory requirements under the Central Acts & State Acts
Standardization
Review and standardise current templates (yearly review based on new amendments & enactments) and update templates to suit new businesses/requirements

Law Library
Monitor legal volumes to ensure that law library is uptodate and gather & analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions and legal articles, codes and documents

Support
Co-ordinate in preparing 1st draft of Lease agreement on receipt of intimation from Marketing and conclude the agreements as per the given timelines and co-ordinate in preparing & reviewing contracts and advice management on legal issues

Data storing
All legal documents to be stored in Firesafes as per company's guidelines

Legal documentation
Prepare leases, exhibits, legal documents - including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts and real estate closing statements, legal correspondence and maintain them in paper or electronic filing system
