Job Description

Work,as part of the Strategy Team, on identification, evaluation and execution of Organic as well as Inorganic projects to support Investment decision-making at Intertek India.


Support in the following areas:

Industry Analysis - Support Investment Decisions:

o Develop an understanding of any new industry, the growth prospects, industry dynamics, value chain, competition etc.

M&A - Target Identification and Analysis:

o Prepare list of possible acquisition/JV targets in an industry

o Evaluate the targets based on defined criteria

o Gatherintelligence on shortlisted targets including financial information, capabilities, technologies, infrastructure, credentials, customers, reputation, management etc.

o Essentially be part of the core team managing the M&A project lifecycle - identify opportunities, screen targets, initiate dialogues, prepare business proposals, develop financial models & returns analysis framework, manage Due Diligence, negotiate and close transactions

Business Proposals - Organic as well as Inorganic Ventures:

o Prepare information packet covering Strategic Rationaleand Quantification of Benefits

o Assist in preparing detailed Business Plans

o Support active projects and live transactions

Develop a basic understanding of financial models, valuation methodologies and risk-return frameworks

Business Analytics :-

o Understand the current Intertek portfolio - Industries, services and customers

o Support Financial and Operational analysis to facilitate informed decision-making

o Actively engage in Competitive Benchmarking and Positioning

o Lead research on sector dynamics to facilitate idea generation for growth

o Conduct Service and Product Portfolio Reviews
