SUMMARY OF ROLES
Packaging leadership role for Baddi sites & health CMOs of SoA cluster.
Managing a Baddi packaging team, performing packaging developments to achieve strategic imperatives and improve cost effectiveness
Responsible for packaging aspects of technical transfer, cost reduction initiatives, NPD and EPD projects, packaging validation and continuous improvement of shelf quality.
Evaluation of internal business systems and external business requirements (eg legislative) related to Technical Packaging
Influencing over a wide range of business functions
Facilitate the cross-functional team to achieve both short and long term objectives and to make sure that site packaging development activities are properly managed
Manage major local, regional and/or global projects (NPD/EPD/Squeeze) within budgets and deadlines and ensure the achievement of set objectives
Make sure that all product designs are robust and comply with Environmental, Safety and Shipping legislation and also with Trade requirements
Establish development programs for packaging innovation and optimization (related to packaging materials, structural design and packaging processes) for total cost savings and improved line efficacy, in close collaboration with Local, Regional and Global Teams
Establish constant Gross margin improvement analysis (i.e. Squeeze/X-Trim Projects) and supervise their implementation
Close collaboration with Procurement, Supply and QM/QA to make sure the Supplier Selection Process & Criteria process is applied for selection/qualification of any new suppliers.
Make sure that TDS is used in Cluster as Globally agreed
Make sure that packing trial and validation of new component and new packing line are executed and documented.
Close collaboration with QM/QA to make sure that latest Quality techniques are applied
Manage and optimize available resources (Testing equipment and tools for packaging)
Analyze and recommend packaging training needs for cross-functional members
Use of external competency where required (e.g. Consultants/Universities)
Responsible for technical implementation of Packaging projects at External Manufacturers related to those products that are not directly linked to one of the Reckitt Benckiser manufacturing locations
Close collaboration with Packaging Teams within global team in order to transfer knowledge and learning
Work in partnership with international Multifunctional teams such as Marketing, Category, R&D, and Procurement to agree directions and project progress
Build effective working relationships with suppliers
Driving development of team capability to develop greater expertise of operational practices, project management and validation.
Driving packaging technologists within team to take broader responsibility, develop capability, make own decisions and accept responsibility for the outcome
Engaging and working closely with cross functional departments to ensure smooth communication channels and flawless project execution to deliver projects on time, in full and on budget
Identifying, recommending and implementing process improvements to standardize work within department
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCES/ SKILLS
Educated to Bachelor or Master Degree of Packaging Development
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence
