Assistant Manager- Indirect Purchase

Job Description

Procurement of Indirect materials, services, maintenance, PPE, Admin, HR and for AMC's.
Responsible for all project purchases (Direct, Indirect and services).
Drive all cost reduction programme for indirect.
Negotiating better payment terms while raising orders and setting up new suppliers / subcontractors.
Lead and coordinate all one time purchases.
Prepare and release an order to suppliers.
Prepare contracts for all services like Housekeeping, Canteen, Transport, Security etc.
Follow local as well as global guidelines of Indirect Purchases.
Drive indirect spend analysis and explore cost reduction opportunities.

Import Clearance:
Planning & implementing movement of products, equipment, materials in of the country as per organizational policies & procedures and local/ country/ international legislations.
Liaising with Import authorities and suppliers in all territories to for efficient operations.
Strategizing import plans and activities with the aim of achieving with overall aims and requirements of the organization.
Maintaining effective and lawful insurance provisions relating to import activities.
Monitoring shipping schedules, letters of credits, packaging, routing, transport and safety documentation.
Supervising warehouse stocks on daily basis and planning delivery mode based on production date / factory requirement - ship mode selection based on cargo weight.
Tracking the imports consignments in daily basis, updating & checking inventory on daily basis and implementing corrective measures to avoid any delays/over inventory stock.
Administering LC process, bill of loading, AWB supplier payments and payment follow-ups for all suppliers/ forwarders/CHA.
Liaised with CHA for clearing the goods from customs and factory for getting material status and accordingly planning the shipment
Prepared pre-shipment and post-shipment documents.
Coordinated with DGFT for Advance Licenses, FMS Licenses, EPCG Licenses & other documentation.
Generated daily report/MIS to be shared with management on timely basis.

ISO Procedures:
Lead auditee for the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and 18001:2007 system.
Process upgradation and process mapping with the existing processes.
Lead the external as well as internal audit and close the open audit points.
Monthly monitor the open audit points and take the corrective actions.

Optimum time management from received of approved EA/CIR to release a PO for indirect spend.
