About The Job :
The Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for growing the company s global third party logistics (3PL) business in an assigned territory, in accordance with corporate objectives (i.e. revenue & profit targets, product growth initiatives, etc.). The SM serves as the main sales contact point for prospects and the sales account owner for customers assigned in their region. They must also find and develop qualified leads, then convert them through the sales process in to prospects and customers.


Job Responsibilities:
Manage an assigned geographical sales area or product line to maximize sales revenues & coverage to meet corporate objectives
Develop prospective clients, make cold calls and service and grow existing clients
Respond to inquiries by clients
Send inquiries to agents
Prepare quotations through Sales support and send to clients
Follow up on quotations and close business, if lost revert with reasons
On receiving confirmed business hand over to customer service
Coordinate through Customer service with operations for container placing / container releases etc
Monitor timely Delivery of invoices to clients if any disputes, update credit control
Collect dues and outstanding amounts from clients in allotted credit limit
Meet volume targets
Timely submission of reports set by the management as per the deadline
Provide MIS information on Market & Competitor activity to Management
Ensure Credit customers are wetted out through the with Credit approval process
