To build and manage the Companys network of channel partners in West India concentrating on the sale of Solar water heating systems, Heat Pump & Residential Solar Photovoltaic Offgrid & Ongrid systems over time to also extend larger commercial water heating systems where relevant
Support launch and growth of new businesses e.g. Air Purifiers in the region
To effectively represent and sell the Companys range of products through these channel partners and to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales and collection targets
The role is expected to identify potential channel partners, appoint channel partners, get them trained, extract business from channel partners, take part in promotion activities
The role is expected to develop existing channel in line with the channel and marketing strategy
The role is expected to sell Solar water heating systems, Heat pump to Residences, Apartments, Hotels, Hospitals, Resorts, Villa projects etc.
The role needs to have frequent interaction with architects , builders, plumbing consultants, end customers and sales managers in getting site surveys, offering proposals, and closing the sale, and collecting the money
To ensure that Business Plan commitments (sales targets etc.) are achieved with clear focus on profitable business.
Work out micro strategy for the concerned geographies and implement the same to increase sales
Support launch and execution of new business models
To ensure that the payments from customers, channel is received in time as per agreed terms
To secure credit facility to Channels by Bank Guarantees and to ensure that the BGs are valid at any point of time.
To provide weekly & monthly reports to the Head- Sales as per the template provided
To sell within the stipulated guidelines on pricing and payment terms.
To pursue leads provided through the retail sales channel, collect site surveys, develop proposals, and close the sale in coordination with retail branch managers
To focus and personally conduct site visits to assess the technical feasibility of the product being offered
To engage & recommend innovative solutions that meet customer requirements within their budget
To be a role model in developing clear proposals that are neat, and easy for the customer to understand conveying professionalism and attention to detail
To monitor that installations are proceeding on time, and to the customers satisfaction
To ensure overall customer satisfaction with the working of the entire system
Ideally an Engineering graduate with sufficient experience in Channel sales
Good understanding of solar thermal products, heat pumps , and heating requirements of customers is mandatory
Successful track record in handling channel partners
Sales experience in solar thermal industry, with potential for channel management, key account management, regional office management.
Basic knowledge of piping systems, water heating mechanisms, solar thermal technology, heat pump operations, gas water heater operations, Standard solar PV products
Displays strong, clear communication skills
A real self-starter, able to take initiative and operate independently of regular coaching.
A strong leader able to motivate and lead the distribution team to success Can present himself / herself well and properly represent the company
Key Result Areas
Timely Collation of monthly targets for leads generation,( site surveys ), orders book, sales, and Collections
Ensure providing weekly & monthly reports to the Head - Sales as per the template provided
Effective collection of Sales related data and feed into help in decision making process to be cost effective
Create a platform within the organization where best practices are shared and implemented across the department.
Forecasting of Market, segment customer projects and identify business potential
