Introduction to The Four Fountains Spa
Background: The Four Fountains Spa is India’s first chain of professionally managed, affordable health
spas. Our vision is to keep India stress-free and healthy. We aim to bring the health benefits of spa
therapies within everyone’s reach by setting up 300 affordable spas in the top 20 cities of India by 2016.
The Four Fountains Spa is a first-generation entrepreneurial venture. The company has been co-founded
by Anurag Kedia, Saurabh Garg and Sunil Rao in 2007 and has been funded by Fulcrum Start-Up, a
venture capital fund based in Chennai.
Anurag Kedia is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Bombay and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in
Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He has worked with Tata Administrative Services and KPMG as a
Consultant for 3 years. At The Four Fountains Spa, Anurag is Director – New Projects & IT.
Saurabh Garg is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Bombay and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in
Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He has worked with Hindustan Unilever for 3 years as Area Sales &
Customer Manager – Gujarat (Rural). At The Four Fountains Spa, Saurabh is Director – Operations &
Sunil Rao is a Commerce graduate from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and
holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management &
Research, Mumbai. He has worked with Hindustan Unilever for 3 years, first as Customer Development
Manager – Modern Trade (West) and later as Key Account Manager – Spencer’s Retail. At The Four
Fountains Spa, Sunil is Director – Marketing & PR.
Spa Locations: The Four Fountains Spa is present at 13 locations across the following cities - Mumbai (3),
Pune (4), Bangalore (2), Kolkata (2), Goa (1), Manali (1), Aurangabad (1) and Bhopal (1). By end of 2012-
13, 20 more spas will be added by launching in Bangalore and Delhi apart from adding more spas in
The Four Fountains Spa offers spa therapies for de-stressing, de-toxification, immunity and beauty for
men as well as women. These spa therapies include more than 20 Indian and international massages,
facials, body polishes and body wraps. All therapies are provided in a scientific and holistic manner
based on a guest’s needs. A doctor conducts a stress test for each guest and recommends a spa therapy
based on the results of the test. The doctor also suggests a suitable diet and exercise plan apart from
any lifestyle changes that the guest might need to make. Every therapist undergoes rigorous training at
our dedicated training academy in Mumbai. It is our policy to offer only same-gender therapists to our
guests. Since October 2007, The Four Fountains Spa has served over 55,000 guests and is a highly rated
attraction in most of the cities it operates in as per Tripadvisor. There are more than 150 people
who work across the various branches of The Four Fountains Spa throughout India.
